We do not ship. Our bubble teas are best when consumed on the same day they are made. The logistical problems getting the cakes to arrive fresh and undamaged have simply proved to be too difficult to solve.

Yes, you can pre-order our cakes for future dates. The earliest scheduled pickup times we can accommodate is 9:30am in our Birhgton Square branch. - Pre-orders can be 100% refunded if cancelled 48 hours before the pick up or delivery date/time. - If orders are not picked up within 2 hour of scheduled time, Joel's BTea reserves the right to sell orders. - Sorry, no refunds or credits for no shows or same day cancellations. Cakes are perishable and cannot be kept overnight for delayed pick-up. Joel's BTea does not offer refunds based upon customer error or palette preferences. There are many opportunities to sample our products to make sure you will like what you order. Most items such as bubble teas and cakes are available for individual purchase in-store. Bubble tea also known as pearl milk tea, boba milk tea, or boba originates from Taiwan in the early 1980s. It is non-alcoholic and non-carbonated. The tea is sweet, though it has less sugar than a typical soft drink.

Tapioca pearls or tapioca balls, is derived from the starch of the cassava root which makes the bubbles gluten-free and almost protein-free. It is produced by passing the moist starch through a sieve under pressure. When cooked perfectly, Tapioca pearls becomes a sweet chewy ball with a gummy-bear like texture about 1/4 of an inch in diameter. Tapioca pearls are chewy, almost like gummy bears, but softer. It can be added to any drink: hot tea, iced tea, slushes, smoothies and shakes. When pearls are added to a drink, it adds a texture that is a fun twist to the drink. Because the size of the tapioca pearls is larger than your typical straws, bubble tea drinks usually come with fat straws to allow the bubbles to travel through.
